A Master's Thesis at University of Basrah Examines the Synergistic Activity of Some Substances with Candida Fungi in a Living Body and in a Lab
A master's thesis at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah examined the synergistic effect of fluconazole, which is resistant to Candida fungi, with alpha-lipoic acid and quercetin.
The thesis presented by the student Maha Hassan Sahi aimed to study the effectiveness of some nutritional supplements used in our daily food as antifungals, which were tested on white fungi resistant to fluconazole, and gave impressive and successful results compared to previous studies.
The thesis included the synergistic activity between fluconazole, alpha-lipoic acid and quercetin in Candida fungi in a living body and in a lab.
