For Sustainable Development in the field of environment, University of Basrah Discusses joint cooperation with the Basrah Environment Directorate
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed with a delegation from the Governorate Environment Directorate headed by Dr. Waleed Al-Moussawi the prospects of joint cooperation regarding the implementation of sustainable environmental development plans on campus.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfeeq Shibli, stated that the visit was in implementation of the steps to implement the decisions of the United Nations program on Iraq's commitment to implementing development plans in protecting the environment, reducing global climate change, maximizing natural resources and combating desertification, which extends until 2030.
Following the visit, the Deanship of the College, with the participation of an elite group of lecturers and students, implemented a tree planting and planting campaign in the college yards, expressing the Deanship of the College's commitment to supporting the green university environment.
