University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on the Crime of Incitement to Suicide
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on the crime of incitement to suicide.
The lecture aims to shed light on the causes and motives of suicide and the penalties stipulated by Iraqi law for inciting it.
The lecture, presented by the faculty member Aseel Omar, clarified that suicide is not merely the result of a single problem but is the outcome of a combination of psychological, social, and environmental factors. She also urged immediate reporting to the relevant authorities in cases where a person is being incited to commit suicide, to ensure that appropriate support and assistance are provided.
