University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on Meteorological Impacts of Shallow and Deep Highs
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the meteorological impacts of shallow and deep highs for the 2004-2005 season over Iraq.
The seminar aimed to elucidate the meteorological effects of shallow and deep high pressures based on daily readings from September 2004 to August 2005, examining average temperatures, atmospheric pressure, and relative humidity at 12 PM.
The seminar, presented by lecturers Hasna Khazal Mwazi and Naba Karim Ahmed, focused on tracking the types of shallow and deep highs at the 1000 and 850 millibar levels. The analysis involved weather chart assessments at 1200 GMT, conducted over study stations in Mosul, Baghdad, and Basra, specifically tracking the Siberian high, the European high, and the subtropical high.
