University of Basra Organizes an Awareness Seminar on Law and Counseling to Reduce the Phenomenon of Divorce
The College of Administration and Economics, in collaboration with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra, organized a seminar on "Law and Counseling in Reducing the Phenomenon of Divorce: Between Causes and Legislation."
The seminar aims to encourage couples to think twice before making a divorce decision by introducing a waiting period between the divorce request and its actual implementation, giving couples a chance to reconsider their decision.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Hana Abd al-Nabi Kabn, Dr. Rafif Abd al-Hafiz Muhammad Taqi, and Dr. Abdul Ali Hamid Abdul Ali, covered the basic concepts of the phenomenon of divorce from several perspectives, including family and legal counseling.
Additionally, it provided psychological consultations for couples to help solve problems, as well as implemented community programs aimed at promoting family values and offering support to couples.
