A Lecturer at the University of Basrah Participates in an International Scientific Conference in Iran
The lecturer at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah, Dr. Shaker Wadi Jaber Al-Asadi, participated in the third international scientific conference for human and social sciences, which was held in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The participation included presenting a research paper entitled "The Economic Importance of Horses in the Islamic Era", which highlighted the role of Muslims in developing and improving the horse breed through crossbreeding to give birth to new breeds that are stronger and more beautiful than previous horses, whether in productivity and carrying heavy loads or in their use in wars, with a statement of their price, places of sale, and their relationship to the status of the Arab individual.
The research aimed to identify the economic importance of horses in the Arab-Islamic society through their use in wars, agriculture, transportation, racing, and their profitable trade.
