A master's thesis at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah examined the theatrical space and its impact on the performance of the Iraqi theater actor.

The thesis presented by researcher Israa Hadi Badawi aimed to identify the artistic impact of the play space on the acting performance of the Iraqi actor.

The thesis included a discussion of the term space and its technical synonyms, the most important of which is the play space, which can exist in conjunction with the term place, space, or theatrical place.

The thesis concluded that one of the aspects of theatrical performance that is affected by the play space is the element of improvisation, which allows the actor to establish a direct relationship with the recipient of the theatrical performance, in addition to making use of the cultural heritage.
