For sustainable Aquatic development, University of Basra organizes a course on methods of estimating oxidase and peroxidase in plant samples using spectrophotometric analysis techniques
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a training course on methods of estimating oxidase and peroxidase in plant samples using spectrophotometric analysis techniques and colorimetric methods to detect color changes in solutions.
The course aimed to understand the response of plants to different environmental conditions and assess their physiological efficiency to develop studies related to sustainable development to maintain the biodiversity of aquatic plants.
The course touched on the important role played by Oxidase and peroxidase enzymes play an important role in plant metabolism, as they contribute to catalyzing the redox reactions necessary for plant growth, improving its response to environmental stress and regulating energy production through the electron transport chain, while peroxidase enzymes contribute to detoxification resulting from oxidative stress and protect cells from free radical damage.
