University of Basra Equips a Central Laboratory with a Chromatograph
Al-Qurna college of education at the University of Basra has equipped its central laboratory with a Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) instrument with direct support from Basrah Oil Company and Lukoil Russia as part of the university's social benefits initiative.
This device is considered one of the leading analytical techniques used in modern scientific research, which helps researchers and graduate students in Basra Governorate and the rest of Iraqi governorates to carry out scientific research on life sciences and chemical sciences.
It is worth mentioning that the device is used in many chemical and industrial applications, as well as the study of proteins, nucleic acids, and other genetic materials, and this technique is considered very sensitive and can detect very small amounts of compounds in complex samples, so it is one of the leading analytical techniques used in modern scientific research.
