A Bord research at the University of Basra's Faculty of Medicine discusses the importance of the role of EGFR in colorectal cancer and its relationship with clinicopathologic parameters in Basra.
The research, presented by student Lana Nadim Allawi, aimed to evaluate EGFR expression in colorectal cancer and its relationship with clinical and histopathologic parameters.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the world, affecting males and females almost equally. The average age of onset is in the fifth to sixth decade of life. The most common histologic type is classical adenocarcinoma.
