A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Measuring and Analyzing the Efficiency of Economic Performance

A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined measuring and analyzing the efficiency of economic performance of municipalities in Basrah Governorate using data envelopment analysis for the period 2021-2023.

The thesis aims to measure and analyze the total productivity of factors for municipalities in Basrah Governorate and identify municipalities that did not achieve full relative efficiency and know the reasons behind this by using the data envelopment analysis method.

The researcher concluded that twelve municipalities were able to reach a high level of efficiency out of fifteen municipalities and were able to provide services that benefit the residents of the districts in which they are located.

The researcher recommended resorting from inefficient municipalities to reference municipalities that achieved high efficiency to learn about the plans and procedures they take in their work.
