A master's thesis at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Basra examined the efforts of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt in countering the views of Islamic sects in the Abbasid era (132-218 AH).
The thesis submitted by researcher Batoul Salem Khudair aims to explain the role of the scientific knowledge of the infallible imams in developing the culture of human society and studying the surrounding circumstances that affected their intellectual efforts and prevented their spread. The importance of the study lies in clarifying the effects of the efforts of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt on individuals, purifying their cultures and feeding their ideas with the correct sources of religion.
The thesis included four chapters in which the student discussed the linguistic concepts, gloating, and the Imams' response to the deviant sects from the era of Al-Kadhim to Al-Jawad.
