University of Basra Organizes a Seminar on Bahraini-Iranian Relations
The Center for Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies organized a panel discussion on Iranian-Bahraini relations during the era of Iranian President Hashemi Rafsanjani between 1989 and 1997.
The seminar, which was lectured by Asmaa Salem Kitan, dealt with the internal and external policy of Iran, where the era of the former president witnessed many constitutional amendments inside Iran and a policy of openness to the countries of the world, including the Gulf countries, through repeated visits to countries such as Kuwait, Bahrain and the UAE, which was based on attracting friends instead of creating enemies; so his era can be considered an openness.
