University of Basra organizes a workshop on compensating linguistic terms in autistic children
The Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies Center organized a workshop on the compensation and innovation of linguistic terms in autistic children in order to communicate.
The workshop, presented by Aliaa Hadi Salem, addressed the definition of autism, the characteristics of the affected child, how he acquires language and distinguishes the language of his speech from the language of healthy children, and the alternative methods he uses to communicate with others, including the creation of new linguistic terms to denote certain things and his use of images and other means of clarification as an alternative to linguistic continuity.
