University of Basra organizes a seminar on the impact of climate change in Basra Governorate
The Faculty of Arts at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the impact of climate change on the natural environment in Basra Governorate.
The symposium aims to introduce the impact of climate change on the frequency and duration of the heat dome phenomenon over Iraq.
The seminar included the presentation of several research papers in which researchers explained the concepts of climate change and research methods in measuring its effects on the plant environment, the environment of the sedimentary plain, and the marshes. It also touched on ways to reduce the negative effects of these changes and address them in sustainable scientific ways.
