University of Basra organizes a workshop on patient safety
Al-Zahraa Medical School at the University of Basra organized a patient safety workshop for medical students.
The workshop aims to promote awareness of the importance of patient safety among medical students, especially sixth-year students, who are on the cusp of entering the medical labor market. Patient safety is one of the main pillars of medical practice, as it contributes to minimizing medical errors and improving the quality of health care.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers during which researchers presented various aspects of patient safety, including best practices to avoid medical errors, how to deal with critical medical cases, and the importance of effective communication between the medical team and patients.
