University of Basra organizes a seminar on modern applications of nanotechnology
The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on modern applications of nanotechnologies in the field of plant protection.
The seminar, which was lectured by Dr. Najla Hussein Mohammed, aims to describe the properties of nanomaterials that are acquiring new qualities and properties and are expected to revolutionize various agricultural fields, including plant protection.
The seminar dealt with improving the properties of various biological control agents and accurate methods in detecting pesticide residues and eliminating their negative effects, thus reducing environmental pollution and reducing the cost of applications.
The seminar touched on the use of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) to eliminate diseases caused by fungi such as mold in various vegetable crops.
