University of Basra and Ferdowsi University in a joint lecture on hydatid cysts
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra participated in an electronic lecture with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ferdowsi University in the Islamic Republic of Iran titled "Hydatidosis in Basra Governorate: Epidemiology and Prevalence" as per the joint scientific cooperation agreement between the two universities.
The lecture aimed to shed light on hydatidosis as a common disease affecting humans and ruminants.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Susan Abdul-Jabbar and Dr. Muhannad Fares, included the definition of hydatidosis and its spread in Iraq in general and in Basra Governorate in particular, and informed researchers and interested parties about the most important and recent studies on this disease and its spread rates and how to control it and find useful treatment methods.
