University of Basra organizes a workshop on cybersecurity
The ICT Center at the University of Basra organized a workshop on cybersecurity and data security according to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the participation of advanced cadres.
The workshop aimed to train participants on enhancing information security and data preservation mechanism at the University of Basra.
The workshop, which was attended by teachers Rafid Mohammed Khalifa and Mohammed Diaa, included the basics of cybersecurity and how to deal with the data of affiliates and systems used at the university and protect them from leaks, attacks, electronic penetration or sharing them with other unreliable parties.
The workshop addressed ways to protect the academic data and research of faculty members from theft and tampering by presenting the latest technologies and practices used in international universities to implement this privacy.
