A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Opposites in Quranic Interpretation Books
A master's thesis at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah examined opposites in Quranic interpretation books from the sixth century AH until the end of the eighth century AH.
The thesis aims to clarify the opinion of interpreters regarding the words of opposites mentioned in the Holy Quran and how to direct them, as a linguistic phenomenon of the richness and development of the Arabic language; as the interpreter constituted another source after proving the opposite with some words and rejecting some of them.
The thesis submitted by the student Ahmed Naeem Hassan included three chapters in which he discussed the words of opposites in the discussions of interpreters of the sixth century, the words of opposites in the discussions of interpreters of the seventh century, and the words of opposites in the discussions of interpreters of the eighth century.
