University of Basrah Organizes a Symposium on the Development of Concepts in the Philosophy of Mind
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a symposium on the development of concepts in the philosophy of mind with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists.
The symposium aims to introduce the philosophy of mind, which is also known as the philosophy of mind, which is one of the branches of philosophy that deals with studying the nature of the mind, mental functions and characteristics, consciousness, and its relationship to the organs of the body, especially the brain.
The symposium included the presentation of several research papers in which the researchers explained the definition of the philosophy of mind and the problems it addressed, as it focused on the problem of “other minds”, which is one of the complex philosophical issues. The researchers also discussed the problem of inferring the existence of other minds, and the symposium also addressed representative inference, which is based on observing the behavior of others and their expressions of their mental states similar to those of the individual, which leads to the conclusion that they have similar minds.
