University of Basra PhD thesis examines the impact of human resource costs on operational performance
A doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Management and Economics at the University of Basra investigated the impact of human resource costs on operational performance through the mediating role of the value chain and the interactive role of environmental uncertainty.
The thesis submitted by the student Zainab Jabbar Yusuf aims to demonstrate the impact of human resource costs on the operational performance of foreign oil companies operating in Iraq within the licensing rounds.
The thesis found that there is a direct and indirect impact of human resource costs and environmental uncertainty on operational performance across the value chain.
The thesis recommends the need to implement sustainable practices and focus on renewable energy sources because the implementation of these practices may solve or reduce many environmental, economic and social issues.
