For Sustainable Development in the Field of Education and Higher Education, University of Basrah Welcomes Students of the International Academy in Basra
The General Secretariat of the Central Library received a delegation of students of the International Academy in Basra as part of a scientific trip that included a group of students and the Academy staff.
Regarding the visit, the Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Iman Shamkhi Jaber, said, "It aimed to inform students about the facilities and departments of the library, the circumstances of its establishment, the history of its emergence, and the valuable and precious books it contains, which represent an important cognitive legacy in Iraqi civilization and how this ancient library contributed to the sustainability of knowledge and the education of the individual and Iraqi society, and the indispensable services it provides to undergraduate and graduate students and researchers of science and knowledge from various Iraqi universities, in addition to books, sources, periodicals and scientific references, whether paper or electronic."
