For sustainable development in achieving social and economic equality for people with disabilities. University of Basra discusses ways to cooperate with the Association of Persons with Disabilities in Iran
The Cultural Center at the University of Basra discussed with the Deaf and Dumb Association in the Iranian city of Khorramshahr ways of joint cooperation in the cultural field and marketing of products.
The director of the center, Dr. Mushtaq Salem Abdul Razzaq, said that receiving the delegation of the Iranian association comes within the strategies of the University of Basra in opening up to various academic institutions and humanitarian associations in the world in order to integrate in achieving the UN program for the development of societies, and to achieve the vision of their reintegration within a joint work program aimed at providing social, economic and health care for an important segment, namely people with disabilities, highlighting their cultural talents and marketing their products from works and handicrafts and helping them find job opportunities by enrolling them in joint training courses.
Salem added that the coming period will witness the organization of an exhibition to market the products of the Iranian Association and skill training workshops.
