A delegation from University of Basra participates in innovation conference in Baghdad
A delegation from the University of Basra headed by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Mufid Turki Rasheed, participated in the Innovation Conference held for the first time in Baghdad in five years, under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shi'a Al-Sudani.
Dr. Mufid Turki Rasheed, Dean of the College of Engineering, said that the University of Basra's participation comes out of its pioneering role in supporting scientific research and engineering development, where the delegation discussed the prospects of cooperation between academic institutions and the public and private sectors to promote economic development in Iraq.
The Dean of the College of Engineering emphasized the importance of integrating technology and innovation into engineering projects, pointing to the role played by Iraqi universities in preparing specialized cadres and providing innovative solutions that support the national economy.
He pointed out that the participation is an opportunity to strengthen the University of Basra's position in international forums and highlight its contributions in the fields of scientific research, engineering and technology, which strengthens its relations with international academic and industrial institutions.
