The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basra organized a workshop on "An Iraq Free of Unaccompanied Orphans".
The workshop aimed to focus on the issue of orphans who do not find adequate care and protection, and to work on finding innovative solutions to provide support for them, and discuss how to improve their situation and provide better care, whether through government programs or community initiatives.
The workshop included lectures by trainer Samir Abdul Nasser and trainer Kamel Abdul Hamadi, from the Eye of the Orphan Charitable Foundation, to promote awareness of the rights of orphans and the importance of their care and embrace by society and the state, and to review some successful experiences from within Iraq or other countries in the field of orphan care and embrace solutions.
