University of Basra faculty participated in the sixth and nineteenth international conference on statistical applications
A number of faculty members from the Faculty of Management and Economics at the University of Basra, namely Dr. Bahaa Abdul Razzaq Qasim, Dr. Ahmed Hisham Mohammed, and Montazer Juma Mahdi, participated in the 6th and 19th International and National Conference for Statistical Applications, organized by the Iraqi Society for Statistical Sciences in Baghdad, under the theme "Statistics and the Digital Future: Modern Methodologies in Data Analysis." The conference was held under the slogan "Statistics and the Digital Future: Modern Methodologies in Data Analysis.
The participation included the presentation of a scientific research entitled "Using some mixed probability distributions in predicting the amounts of pollution resulting from gas emissions in Basra Governorate", where the research dealt with advanced statistical methods to study the impact of environmental emissions and predict them with higher accuracy.
The conference aims to focus on the importance of statistics in supporting digital transformation and promoting the use of modern methods of data analysis, in order to contribute to achieving sustainable development in Iraq.
