The University of Basra's Marine Science Center organized a course on solid phase microextraction (SPME) technology, improving the efficiency of extraction and its environmental applications.
The course, which was lectured by Dr. Bassam Ashour Rashid, explained the technique, its benefits and efficiency in environmental fields, where this technique allows the analysis of organic pollutants in water, estimating the level of pollutants in the soil and studying volatile organic compounds in the air, which qualifies scientists to make correct decisions in solving sustainable development issues in the environment after analyzing the compounds and extracting their structures.
