A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Strategies for Adapting Visual Art
A master's thesis at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah, entitled "Strategies for Adapting Visual Art to Manipulate Minds", was presented by researcher Raghad Abdul-Wahid. The thesis aimed to reveal the apparent and hidden non-aesthetic messages in the products of contemporary international art.
The thesis included a historical study of a documented movement of transformations in artistic styles and methods that were associated with some geographical locations around the world.
The thesis concluded that non-aesthetic discourses are many arms of manifestation and depend directly on the artist's emotions, to defend them even if he is ignorant of that.
