A Scientific Study at the University of Basrah Examines Molecular Docking
A scientific study at the University of Basrah, prepared by the lecturer Munther Abdul-Jalil Muhammad Ali in the College of Science, examined the synthesis, molecular docking study, and antimicrobial evaluation of some 1, 2, 4-triazole compounds.
The study, which was published in the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research classified in the Scopus Q3 databases (Citescore = 1.4 and Clarivate IF = 0.29), included the preparation of new compounds and studying their effectiveness against bacteria and fungi, and studying the relationship between the practical values obtained from the effectiveness against microbes and the values of the association between the compounds and the proteins of bacteria and fungi through the study of molecular docking.
The results of the study concluded that some of these compounds gave excellent effectiveness against specific types of microbes, and on the other hand, the study indicated that these compounds have moderate toxicity according to the classification of the toxicity study.
