University of Basra students organize a scientific trip to Al-Faris Farms
The students of the third stage of the Faculty of Education for Girls at the University of Basra organized a scientific trip to Al-Fares Farms in Zubair district.
The visit aimed to familiarize the students with agricultural plants and seedlings as practical lessons after the farm officials gave a detailed explanation about them.
The trip included a detailed explanation of the spray and drip irrigation system, the method of planting date palm seedlings, how to add organic fertilizers, aerial rooting of the seedlings, as well as irrigation with artesian wells and open wells. Mixed sandy soil textures, plant propagation methods, and agricultural cuttings were also explained.
