Basra University's student team defeated its counterpart from Samarra University in the floor tennis tournament
The Basra University team beat its counterpart from Samarra University with a score of (2-0) in their match in the Iraqi Universities Ground Tennis Championship, sponsored by the Iraqi Federation for University Sports at the University of Baghdad from February 22 to 27, 2025.
The head of the university delegation, Dr. Nassar Ismail Fares, said: "Our team was able to achieve victory in its first match in floor tennis against the University of Samarra, as a confirmed result of the skills of our players and their high physical fitness, as well as their team spirit, and we will meet in the next rounds, God willing, according to the individual draw, the University of Kirkuk team, and we are looking forward to returning the cup to our mother university, the University of Basra. The University of Basra."
