The University of Basra hosts for the first time the national forum for the University Innovation and Sustainability Challenge Competition 

The University of Basra hosted the National Forum for the University Innovation and Sustainability Challenge Competition with the participation of about (45) governmental and private universities under the auspices of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority on the grounds of the University of Basra from 23 to 27 February 2025.

"The forum aims to spread the culture of sustainable development in preserving the environment and eliminating pollution through promotional educational campaigns carried out by the participating scout teams, headed by our university's federal referee, Walid Khalid Mohammed, and the forum will witness many scouting paragraphs and events, including a visit to land and sea places and archaeological, tourist and sports places in Basra with scout competitions and prizes," said Dr. Ghassan Habib Al-Bajari, Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Basra, about the activities of the forum.
