University of Basra master's thesis examines the effectiveness of heterotopia on the theater actor
A master's thesis at the University of Basra's Faculty of Fine Arts examined the effectiveness of heterotopia on the performance of the Iraqi theater actor.
The thesis, submitted by researcher Sajjad Rahim Nehme, aimed to identify the intellectual and artistic premises and cultural references of the heterogeneous place, its effectiveness and its impact on the performance of the Iraqi theater actor.
The thesis included a study of the place that greatly influences the performance of the theater actor and reflects the intellectual, aesthetic and cultural data he carries.
The thesis concluded that the place constituted a major concern in modern theater, as humans were looking for the unfamiliar form due to the basic glut created by the traditional theater.
