University of Basra doctoral dissertation examines the response of two varieties of kargat plant
A doctoral dissertation at the University of Basra's College of Agriculture investigated the response of two varieties of kagrat plants to growing apex corms and amino acid spraying in growth, yield and biochemical efficacy.
Researcher Khansa Aqeel Abdulkarim Al-Yasiri's dissertation included the study of two varieties of kagrat plants with three levels of cucurbit treatment, where the plants were cucurbit at three levels and the plants were sprayed with amino acid at three levels: 0, 200 and 200 milligrams per liter.
The thesis concluded the success of the two varieties in Basra governorate and the increase of active compounds and kajrat oil when the experimental factors were overlapped.
The thesis recommended the cultivation of kargat plant for its medicinal and economic importance, the use of kargat process to increase the vegetative and yield, and the study of more amino acids for their positive effect on the plant.
