University of Basra signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Royal College
The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Basra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British Royal College Medical Network in Iraq.
According to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, the memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the fields of medical education (undergraduate and postgraduate) and scientific research. And provide support in providing educational services, improving students' skills in the field of medical research and publishing in medical journals, in addition to building the training capacities of faculty members in order to fulfill the requirements of academic accreditation.
He added that the Royal British Medical College is committed to providing academic and educational support according to the available capabilities, while the Faculty of Medicine at Basra University will provide logistical support for the implementation of joint educational activities.
He stressed that this cooperation reflects the desire of both parties to promote medical education and develop medical cadres in Iraq, which contributes to raising the level of medical efficiency and contributing to improving health care in the country.
