A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Impact of Green Maritime Logistics Activities
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined the impact of green maritime logistics activities in improving the operational performance of Iraqi oil ports and maritime vessels operating on them, through the requirements of the Environmental Quality Management System (ISO 14001:2015).
The researche Hassanin Shaker Lafta's thesis aims to demonstrate the role of green maritime logistics in improving the operational performance of Iraqi oil ports and maritime vessels affiliated with Basra Oil Company, through the application of ISO 14001:2015 as an intervening variable.
The study recommended enhancing green investment, improving energy efficiency, reducing the use of fossil fuels to reduce harmful emissions, and integrating renewable energy. It also focused on implementing strong security strategies, such as cybersecurity, and management's commitment to ISO 14001:2015 standards to achieve environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.
