For Sustainable Development in Reducing Pollution, University of Basrah Organizes a Course on Hydrocarbon Pollutants of Water
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a training course on the extraction, separation and diagnosis of hydrocarbon compounds in the aquatic environment using the Spectroflurophotometer and (HPLC) and (GC) devices.
The course which was given by Dr. Maryam Fawzi Hamid included practical lessons on methods of collecting water samples and sediments containing hydrocarbon compounds and how to extract and preserve them in the laboratory and then separate and diagnose them in preparation for their treatment to ensure sustainable development in eliminating their spread.
