The University of Basra mobilizes its staff to treat rainwater at its sites.
The Director of the Office Affairs Department at the University of Basra, Mahmoud Jafar Jassim, said that the university has mobilized its technical and service cadres to address rainwater accumulations at the sites of Karma Ali and Bab Al-Zubair colleges.
He added that the technical cadres, based on the direction of the President of the University, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, were present in the field to follow up the performance of the plungers and ensure the efficiency of their work until late at night, and these efforts contributed to improving the general appearance of the two sites to ensure a safe university environment for university affiliates and students.
He stressed that the university preceded the rains with preventive measures, including cleaning and wiring the drainage lines inside the sites of Karma Ali and Bab Al-Zubair colleges, and operating the plungers at full capacity in the places most prone to water accumulation.
