University of Basrah Organizes an Awareness Lecture on Foot-and-mouth Disease
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized an awareness lecture on foot-and-mouth disease.
The lecture aimed to educate breeders and field owners about the disease and methods of prevention and treatment.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Israa Abdul-Wadud Al-Saad at the Al-Najibiya Thermal Station, included an introduction to foot-and-mouth disease and its transmission methods, and attention to the safety of animal products such as meat and dairy, while emphasizing that the disease is not transmitted from humans to animals.
