A PhD Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores Hybrid Copolymers
A PhD thesis was researched at the College of Science at the University of Basrah, entitled: "Preparation and Characterization of Hybrid Nanopolymers and Copolymers Derived from Thiophene, Furan and Pyrrole, and their Evaluation as Anti-Corrosion and Electrical Conductivity Agents, and a Theoretical Simulation Study."
The thesis of the student Sadiq Hamza Abbas aimed to enhance the understanding of the relationship between nanoparticles and conductive polymers, as this field greatly affects the properties of hybrid materials.
The thesis included the synthesis of a series of hybrid nanopolymers and hybrid copolymers using thiophene, pyrrole and furan with metal oxide nanoparticles, using the core-shell polymerization technique.
