University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on International Women's Day
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Division and the Google Developers Team in Basra, organized a workshop on International Women's Day to celebrate their day.
The workshop aims to focus on the role of women in leadership and enhance their empowerment in the field of technology, and push the boundaries of what is possible towards a more inclusive and advanced future, a unique opportunity for communication and learning.
The workshop included a group of lectures and dialogue sessions, where Dr. Amal Muhammad Abdul-Karim, Dean of the College of Education for Girls, participated in a lecture on the renaissance of Arab women, and Dr. Nadia Ali Qasim, founder of programming clubs in Iraq and the official partner of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, in a lecture on the importance of workspaces in supporting innovation, and the lecturer Nora Hamid Hassan, Director of the Women's Affairs Division, gave a lecture on the importance of psychological relaxation in the work environment, and a group of lecturers.
The lectures included a theatrical performance entitled Women Through the Ages, embodying their role in facing challenges over time.
