University of Basra rehabilitates the museum's desert environment hall
As part of the ongoing efforts to develop and improve the exhibition halls, the staff of the Natural History Museum at the University of Basra have undertaken intensive efforts to rehabilitate the desert environment hall, with the aim of enhancing the educational experience for museum visitors.
"The rehabilitation work included updating the decorations and reorganizing the exhibits to provide a more realistic environment that simulates the desert nature, which contributes to highlighting the biodiversity in dry areas and introducing living organisms that adapt to these harsh conditions," said Dr. Shatha Mohammed, Director of the Natural History Museum.
The museum management praised the efforts of the staff in implementing this project, emphasizing that this step comes within the plans to develop the museum and provide a distinctive educational experience for visitors and researchers.
It is worth mentioning that the Desert Environment Hall is one of the important halls in the museum, which includes a collection of models and specimens that reflect the nature of life in deserts and highlight the importance of preserving this unique ecosystem.
