University of Basra organizes a seminar on the phenomenon of commercial fish adulteration
The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the phenomenon of commercial fraud in fish.
The seminar aims to focus on the methods and methods of commercial fraud in fish, due to its negative economic and health effects and its repercussions on the individual and society.
The workshop, which was attended by Dr. Atheer Hussein Ali, Dr. Jassim Mohsen Abd and Dr. Thamer Qatea Adai, included the identification of nine types of chilled fish in circulation in which adulteration occurs, including Rahu fish instead of Qatan, common carp and Balatai, Basaj instead of Shank, Dahni and Halawi fish instead of Zubaidi, milk fish instead of Bayah, and frozen fish such as Sibaiti instead of Zubaidi, river pomfret instead of Zubaidi, and striped grouper instead of grouper and mazlak fillets.
