University of Basra organizes a seminar on Sinan Antoine's novels
The Center for Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies organized a seminar on the features of Sinan Antoine's novels.
The seminar, which was lectured by Dr. Nidal Hassan Jatul, shed light on the features of Sinan Antoine's character and the types of his characters, such as his choice of the flat character, the guiding character and the reference character, as well as studying the structure of his characters, their functions and their literary symbolic meanings.
The seminar concluded that the story character is an individual and a being that participates in the events of the story, and is considered one of the basic elements in building a literary narrative, as the character plays a pivotal role in developing the plot and enhancing the themes raised by the writer.
