The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a workshop on Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) - the case of Southern Iraq.
The workshop aimed to provide information on nature-based solutions (NBS).
The workshop, lectured by Dr. Muhsen Abdulhai Dasher, included a review of the most important solutions that address societal challenges (such as climate change, food and water security, and natural disasters) effectively and adaptively, and provide benefits for human well-being and biodiversity.
The eight NBS global benchmarks for nature-based solutions were presented
He indicated that most of these solutions are applied in research, master's and doctoral theses in the scientific departments of the College of Agriculture.
