University of Basra organizes a workshop on the Bologna Process
The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Basra organized a workshop entitled "Quality Assurance of Education according to the Bologna Process" with the participation of quality officials in the colleges covered and the competent committees.
The workshop aims to apply the mechanism of quality assurance of teaching and learning with the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities to improve the level and academic movement in them and ensure their entry into international rankings.
The workshop, which was attended by the head of the Quality Assurance Division, Dr. Ammar Salman Daoud, and the head of the Teaching Technical Training Unit, Doaa Shahid Habib, addressed the quality assurance guidelines that must be adopted in the Bologna process and discussed the quality mechanism of teaching and learning in academic institutions, as well as how to write the quality assurance report by the educational institution in the presence of the special form.
The Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, Dr. Abdulkarim Taher Yasser, stated that the Bologna process seeks to establish a framework to unify teaching and learning systems and unify the educational structure to obtain international recognition of certificates and provide the labor market with the corresponding specializations
He added that one of the objectives of the Bologna Process is to facilitate the comparison of academic qualifications and enable the recognition of them and professional experiences, as well as to improve and raise the quality in the countries participating in the process, while reducing the distance between education and the labor market.
