For Sustainable Development in achieving Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment, University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Domestic Violence
The Center for Educational Guidance and Psychological Care at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Department of Internal Affairs at the University of Basrah, organized a seminar on the causes and treatments of domestic violence against girls, children, and women.
The seminar, presented by lecturer Ashwaq Jabbar Hamoud, aimed to implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (2015-2030) in combating domestic violence in human settlements and eliminating gender disparities.
The seminar addressed the general concept of violence, its psychological effects on individual and societal health, the causes that lead to violence, and how parents or spouses can deal with it.
