University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Introduction to Learning and Teaching
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a lecture on Introduction to Learning and Teaching for the unit.
The lecture, which is part of the fourth teaching methods course within the medical specialization for the first unit, aimed to provide trainees with knowledge of the philosophy of the learning and teaching processes.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Mays Basil Jalil, a lecturer in the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah, included a definition of the concept of learning and teaching, the difference between them, an identification of the types of learning and teaching, the foundations upon which the learning and teaching processes are based, and the environmental factors influencing the effectiveness of learning and teaching. Several individual and group activities were also presented during the lecture, with some tasks required of participants to complete and upload to the electronic class of the medical specialization group.
