University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Human Rights
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the establishment of the Human Rights Unit.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Hassan Maleh Nasser, aimed to introduce professors, staff, and students to the Human Rights Unit and to follow up on matters related to student human rights, including the educational environment, dress code, people with special needs, and follow-up. It also aimed to support students, their academic and cultural output, and their activities, as well as to meet with representatives and allocate regular meetings for them.
In addition to many other issues, the seminar addressed the university's role in developing the importance of rights and giving them high priority.
It included numerous contributions from attendees, particularly academic institutions.
